Set, Drawing Instrument
Used on Nares' Arctic expedition 1875. Belonged to Lieutenant A A C Parr, HMS "Alert". Blue baize lined wooden case containing a set of drawing instruments. Compass, dividers, mapping pen, parallel rule, folding scale, scale and pen. There is a second compartment below a removable tray. Brass plaque on lid inscribed "Parr".
