Obverse: Bust of Elizabeth II (R) laureate. Legend: "ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F:D:" Reverse: Legend: "THE COASTGUARD AUXILIARY SERVICE". Inscription: "PRESENTED TO HENRY NICHOLLS FOR LONG SERVICE" (name incuse). Bars: "LONG SERVICE". Fitted with a cusped clasp suspended from a pale blue ribbon with red stripe at each side and two bars. In original fitted case with two small silver rosettes.
