Achilles (1861)

Scale 1:48. Plan shows thesheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan for the ironclad frigate Achillies (1863). The tile at thee top of th drawing reads "A design prepared incompliance with their Lordships order of 31 May 1861 for building 6 iron cased ships of Achillies class to carry 50 guns". An Admiralty Board Minute stamp dated 6 Auust 1961 is printed on the drawing.
