This is a black cloth card covered album, containing 135 photographs glued on to 50 leaves. It relates to the career of Villiers N. Surtees on board HMS Hawkins (1920-21), HMS Worcester (October 1922-October 1923) and HMS Danae (October 1923 onwards) during the Special Service Squadron world tour.

The album includes the following:
Vessels - HMS Hawkins (1917) in 1920-1, HMS Worcester (1919) in 1922-3, HMS Danae (1918) in 1923-4, HMS Australia (1911) last voyage, HMS Dragon (1917), HMS Delhi (1918).
Locations - Pekin, Malta, Mudros, Constantinople, Fiji, Honolulu, Hawaii, Victoria B.C., Valparaiso, Cape Horn
