'Lake St. Peters, St Laurence' [Lake St Peter, Ontario, Canada]
Mounted with ZBA4888 and ZBA4890 on page 20 of Fanshawe's West Indies, North American and Borneo scrapbook (ZBA4855).
Lithograph presumably depicting Lake St Peter, which is a small lake in Ontario, Canada, near Hastings Highlands. The slightly curious element is the inclusion of a small square-rigged ship with all sail set to the royals and studding sails, seen head-on, though this is more explicable if - as the title suggests - it is linked to the St Lawrence River.
The original sketch would have been made by Edward Fanshawe in the 1820s (circa 1823–26), the print probably after 1854.
