Inscribed by the artist, as title, this pencil drawing of the Pitons, rock pillars off St Lucia, with a cutter and small three-masted ship toward the right, is one of eight loose items in Fanshawe's West Indies, North American and Borneo scrapbook (ZBA4855). It is the original for a lithograph, also present (ZBA4871). [PvdM 2/11]
