In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You have informed us that the Deptford Yard Master Shipwright has proposed the launching of the new 3rd Rate building there on the 19th of this month.
Direct she be launched accordingly and fitted out to Sea for Service in the Channel, manned with her highest complement of Men, and Victualled for four months or as much as she can conveniently stow.
She is to be entered in the Navy as the TORBAY.
You also informed that us that Mr Snelgrove has advised that the 60 Gun ship building by him by contract will be ready to be launched on the 18th of this month.
The Ship is to be named the CANTERBURY, and is to be fitted out for Channel Service and Victualled and Manned as directed for the TORBAY.
