In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Captain Philip Dawes late Commander of the FALCON in February 1693, being dismissed from the employment of the Governor of Jamaica, took passage for England in a merchant ship of London the HENRY AND WILLIAM. The ship was seized in her passage by enemy ships about 12 leagues west of Scilly and several books and papers necessary for Captain Dawes to pass his accounts were taken from him. You are directed to have wages due to him to the time he was dismissed paid if you have no other objection.
