HMY Fairy (1845); Royal/ceremonial vessel; Tender; Screw
Scale 1:85. A contemporary full hull model of the Royal Yacht Fairy(1845). Built in the builder's style, the model is decked and equipped with a variety of fittings including a capstan, binnacle, wheel, pumps, davits for the boats, and a number of skylights along the deck to give illumination down below. A plaque is inscribed ‘Queen Victoria's Steam Yacht "Fairy". Builders model by Thos. Ditchburn. Blackwall 1845’.
