Come and find out about our history of observing, mapping and exploring the Moon, our closest neighbour.

The Lunar Tour at the Royal Observatory looks at the Moon's impact on our world, humanity's dedication to figuring out its many mysteries and just how much it really takes to love something 'to the moon and back'.

A shining metallic Moon sculpture sits in the courtyard in front of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich

You'll also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Moon right here on Earth, with a talk around Luke Jerram's amazing new Mirror Moon art installation.

Important information

Please note that you must also purchase Royal Observatory admission to attend the tour.

The Bookings office is open 9am-5pm, Monday-Sunday. Telephone: +44 (0)20 8312 6608 | Email: bookings@rmg.co.uk
