Waitangi flag staff at Waitangi Treaty Grounds
A view of the flag staff at Waitangi, North Island, on the opposite shore to Russell, marking the spot where the Treaty of Waitangi was first signed on 6 February 1840. The previous flag staff was replaced in 1934 by the New Zealand Navy. This one was replaced in 1947.
