Devastation (1871) and Thunderer (1872)
Scale 1:24. Plan shows the midship section design drawing for the Devastation class turret ships Devastation (1871) and Thunderer (1872). The title of the drawing is "Design for a turret ship of 4406 Tons and 800 Nominal Horse Power having a low freeboard and a large coal supply". The drawing bear the signature of Sir Edward Reed {Chief Constructor of the Navy 1863-1870]. The plan is fragile and resides in two pieces.
