Stromboli (1839) and Vesuvius (1839)

Scale 1:192. Plan shows the sketch of sails for the Stromboli class paddle sloops Stromboli (1839) and Vesuvius (1839). There is an annotation regarding the fitting of new sails to both vessels and the writing is illegible in places. Further annotations state a copy of this plan was sent Sheerness Dockyard for Vesuvius on 22 February 1839 and to Portsmouth Dockyard for Stromboli on 22 February 1839. More copies were sent to Woolwich dockyard for use on the Driver class paddle sloop Devastation (1841) dated 2 November 1840 and to Chatham Dockyard for the Driver class sloops Growler (1841) and Vixen (1841) dated 2 November 1840.
