Captain Davidge Gould
An oval miniature depicting Captain Davidge Gould. The miniature is executed in watercolour and gum arabic on ivory. The miniature is now unframed, but was formerly mounted and framed with a series of miniatures depicting Naval Captains associated with Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The sitter is wearing a blue jacket with gold brocade and buttons and a white shirt.
