This miniature is entitled 'Rear-Adm Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount Bridport (1727-1814)'. It is executed in watercolour on ivory with gum arabic. This miniature is mounted together with 26 others, however, the velvet covered mount is very light damaged. The sitter is depicted in a blue jacket and white shirt with white hair that is tied back with a ribbon.
