Volume containing logs kept by Thomas Wainwright on two vessels in the West Indies trade, 1798-1799. They cover a voyage from Liverpool to Madrid and then to Jamaica on the BARON MONTALEMBERT, commencing in June 1798. Also a voyage from Falmouth on the SEBASTIANA, commencing in April 1799. There are also handwritten music and lyrics for several songs, including ‘The Topsails Shiver in the Wind’, some notes on the staining and varnishing of wood, and a loose copy of a letter.
