'A Series of Stereoscopic Views of the Franklin Relics, brought home in the Fox by Captain McClintock, September 1859'

A blue card box (lid detatched) containing 13 card-mounted stereoscopic images, and two single photograph images, of the Franklin Expedition (1845-8) relics found and brought back to England by Captain Leopold McClintock during his expedition in the yacht Fox between 1857-9. The box also contains the printed descriptive catalogue and a printed list (with hand-written additions) of the subscribers.
