Experience an evening surrounded by music and history at the Queen’s House with renowned cellist Raphael Wallfisch, one of the greatest cellists of our time.
Known for his exceptional musicianship and celebrated career, Wallfisch will perform three pieces from Bach’s iconic Cello Suites, showcasing the remarkable depth and beauty of these timeless masterpieces and offering a unique opportunity to experience these beloved compositions in an intimate setting.
Taking place in the elegant setting of the Queen’s House, the recital will begin at 7.30 and will last approximately 75 minutes, with no interval.
Make an evening of your visit with a welcome drink included with every ticket. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy a drink and take in the atmosphere of the Queen’s House before the performance begins.

With a discography of more than 70 discs Raphael Wallfisch is one of the most recorded classical artists in the world.
A BBC survey named Wallfisch’s recording of the Dvořák Cello Concerto the best recording of the work in the past 25 years.
With concert appearances around the world, Wallfisch is at the height of his powers with a masterful technique and a soaring, singing sound that evokes a tradition continued from his teacher, Piatigorsky.

How do I get to the Queen's House?
Access onto the grounds and the Queen’s House will be via the Royal Gate entrance, located directly in front of the Queen's House.
Is there somewhere nearby for dinner?
We encourage you to explore the extended and diverse options of pubs, cafés and restaurants in Greenwich town centre. Catering will be limited during the recital.
What parts of the Queen's House will be open during the event?
The Queen’s House is open every day from 10am-5pm unless advertised otherwise. During this event, guests will have access to the Great Hall, Tulip Stairs, shop and toilets. Rooms and galleries that are not part of the performance area will be closed.

The Royal Gate entrance provides level access to the entrance of the Queen’s House. Toilets, including an accessible toilet, are located in the Undercroft on the ground floor of the Queen’s House.
The concert takes place in the Great Hall, located on the first floor. Access from the Undercroft to the Great Hall is via lift. Wheelchairs can be accommodated in the Great Hall.
Companion tickets are available for any guest who would be unable to visit independently, please select this alongside a paid ticket.
