Frisland

Frisland is one of the phatom islands which appeared in the North Atlantic from the sixteenth into the eighteenth century, having appeared in a 1558 map by Nicolo Zeno, supposedly showing the geographical results of a 1390 voyage by the Venetian Zeno brothers. It has been argued that the inclusion of Frisland in maps was in fact a double mapping of Iceland.
