The man on the left is topless, holding a circular long staff in both hands. The man on the right is also topless and holds a fly whisk, called a 'fue' in both hands. Both men are wearing head dresses and have different kinds of wraps around their waists.

The photograph is captioned 'Samoans. South Pacific.'
