Hermes (1953)

Scale 1:144. An ozatrace copy of a plan shows the incident board H.Q. 1 & 2 [Damage Control headquarters] on No. 8 [hold] and No. 9 [double bottom compartments], as fitted for the aircraft carrier Hermes (1953). The board would be lit up on the wall with different lights indicating which areas are active and which are inactive due to damage. This drawing was created during Hermes' Landing Platform Helicopter conversion between 1971 and 1972. This plan is noted as Sheet 5 of 6 and was modified at Devonport Dockyard during its 1976 refit.
