'Warrior' (1860)
No scale. A plan showing a proposed four-masted rig for the broadside ironclad 'Warrior' (1860). The drawing is accompanied by detailed explanatory notes. These cover the rationale behind the proposal and also some of the more unusual aspects of its layout and working. The proposal was never adopted and the ship was completed with a three-masted ship rig.
The plan has been signed 'Commander W. Norton [or Morton?]', but neither permutation of this name appears in the Navy List for this period.
