War diary of Frederick Arthur Buckley (Volume 3), April 1915-July 1915.

Diary kept by Frederick Arthur Buckley, 1 April to 17 July 1915. In this period Buckley was a gunnery lieutenant on the battleship HMS VENERABLE (1899). The events include a reconnaissance flight over trenches near Dunkirk and the subsequent bombardment of German positions. The VENERABLE was then sent to the Mediterranean to support the Gallipoli landings. Sketches of Mudros Bay and targets on the Gallipoli Peninsular are included.
