War diary of Frederick Arthur Buckley (Volume 8), October 1919-September 1920.

Diary kept by Frederick Arthur Buckley, 1 October 1919 to 27 September 1920. During this period Buckley continued to serve on the battleship HMS EMPEROR OF INDIA (1913). The diary covers the evacuation of Novorossiysk and other events during the Russian Civil War, construction of facilities for refugees at Mudros, a visit to the Gallipoli battlefield, Buckley's promotion to the rank of commander, and a voyage home on a troopship.
