Join our Saturday Art Club for young people aged 13-16 who live, work or study in Greenwich. 

Come every week to the National Maritime Museum to develop new skills, make new friends, go on trips to different museums and galleries, and have your work shown to the public in July at Somerset House! 

The workshops are free, we provide art materials and snacks, and can support with covering travel costs for trips outside the Museum.

Saturday Art Club Key Information

What you'll do

  • Learn techniques like printmaking, sculpture and collage
  • Explore museum stories, themes and collections
  • Work towards achieving a Bronze or Silver Arts Award
  • Visit other museums or art galleries 
  • Experiment with different art styles and materials
  • Meet new people and work as part of a creative group
  • Help design and create a professional-quality public display for Somerset House in July

Where is Saturday Art Club held?

Saturday Art Club is held in the Learning Space at the National Maritime Museum, on the museum’s ground floor with step-free access. To find out more, read about how to find the National Maritime Museum. 

Who can join Saturday Art Club?

  • Aged 13-16 years
  • Live, work, or study in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

When is it?

Saturday Art Club takes place every Saturday during school term time. Art Club starts on 3 October 2026 and finishes on 20 March 2027.

If you can't access the form or need to sign up a different way, contact us.

When we get your form, we will ask about any access or support needs you want to share so you can take part comfortably and safely. You can also contact us anytime to ask questions.

Some ways we can support you:

  • Regular breaks
  • Noise-cancelling headphones
  • Fidget toys

We can’t provide one-to-one support, but you’re welcome to bring a support worker or someone to help.

Do I need to bring anything?

We provide all the art materials you need, plus some snacks. The club is free to attend.

If you're worried about the costs of weekly transport for art club, please contact us.

You can come by yourself or bring a friend – just make sure they have also filled out the online form so we have their parent or guardian's permission.
