Armistice signal sent in October 1918 from Marshal Foch; obituary notice of Jimmy W Thompson, RN in the EVENING ARGUS, 1984; two diaries kept in the EREBUS, between 1917 and 1918, includes information on the Dunkirk operations in 1918 and specifically operations of the 23 April 1918; and a watercolour of the EREBUS.

Administrative / biographical background
Jimmy Thompson served in the Royal Navy during World War One and took part in the raid and sinking of the blockships at the mole in Zeebrugge Harbour in 1916. He later became a football scout and he discovered the likes of Jimmy Greaves, Terry Venables and Trevor Brooking.
