PM11755/26; Two bowhead whale skulls set into the ground around a rectangular pit on Yttygran Island. The pit is purpose made, although its function is not clear. Some of the pits on the site are believed to have been used to store meat.

PM11748/0; A moose head mounted over the fireplace in the lobby of the Regal Alaskan Hotel, Anchorage, Alaska. Other stuffed and mounted animals are displayed on the walls. Ivy Sharp arrived at the hotel in the evening of the 20 July and left for Provideniya, Russia, mid-morning 21 July to transfer to the Russian icebreaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1980).

PM11751/11; A view from the window of a Reeve Aleutian Airways Lockheed L-188 Electra aeroplane looking at the snow covered mountains below. Part of an unidentified glacier is evident just below the wing. The bottom of the window can be seen in the photograph. There are two significant mountain ranges to the west and east of Anchorage, Alaska, so it is not known which this is.

The jaw bone has broken off near to the base, but it does show how the stones embedded in the soil around it support the rib in its upright position. The right edge of the image is partially obscured by a blurred image of a finger(?).
