Join us to mark the centenary of the historic London premiere of Moana (1926), a pioneering work of docufiction.
Before the screening, experience Moana: A Moving Meditation, a contemporary Pacific artistic response devised and directed by Siliga Sani Muliaumaseali’i.
Through music, movement and spoken word, the performance explores the spirit and legacy of Moana, its portrayal of Samoan culture, its relationship with Pacific peoples and its later association with Disney.
The performance features international Samoan soprano Aivale Cole, Nikoo Saeki, pianist Satoshi Kubo, Muliaumaseali’i and members of GAFA Arts Collective UK and the London Pacific community.
