Mangaian carving at the National Maritime Museum: Toitoi a Mangaia ki National Maritime Museum
Join Robbie Atatoa, distinguished Mangaian carver and cultural educator, for a special workshop.
This will include a talk on Mangaian history and culture, a carving demonstration, a question-and-answer session, and a chance to view the acclaimed Pacific Encounters gallery at the National Maritime Museum, as well as the new Ocean Court. All are welcome to join, with concessions for students and children.
Light refreshments* will be provided.
Mangaian carving at the National Maritime Museum: Toitoi a Mangaia ki Maritime Museum is generously supported by a Connections Through Culture Grant. The British Council’s Connections Through Culture grants support new cultural collaborations between the UK and the Asia Pacific region. This support assists artists and cultural organisations working across all art forms to create new connections and collaborative projects.
