Wednesday 1 April
Craft workshop: How do you take your tea?
11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm | Undercroft
Come and explore the story behind the British cup of tea in this drop-in craft workshop. Learn where tea comes from, the different types of tea, why it is popular in Britain today and the idea of a ‘tea party’. Design your own teacup, mug or bowl, and decide how to take your beverage, with sugar, milk, or ice?
Thursday 2 April
Craft workshop: Time for tea
11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm | Undercroft
Inspired by the voyages of Cutty Sark, this workshop will see you cut, fold and decorate your own Chinese tea caddy. Touch and smell real tea leaves, then add a few inside for a gentle shake and rustle. This is a hands-on workshop full of creativity and discovery!
Friday 3 April
Musical storytelling: A daring spice journey
11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm | Great Hall
Join us on a spice-tacular musical storytelling adventure aboard a 19th-century ship, sailing to London with cloves, cardamom, star anise and black pepper in its hold.
With live music, sing-alongs and plenty of spice smelling, you'll help shape the story as the journey unfolds, exploring the flavours, excitement and big questions about trade along the way.

Wednesday 8 April
Craft workshop: Food fit for the Queen
11am-1pm, 2pm-4pm | Undercroft
Follow a gallery trail to spot food and drink in the artworks on display, then create your own 17th‑century menu or recipe book. Draw, cut, and glue with textured materials, inspired by still-life displays of fruit, herbs and objects from historical English and Flemish food art.

Under 5s workshop: Queen Anne's marvellous masque

Queen Anne is throwing a marvellous party, there's food to make and outfits to pick! Under 5s and their families are invited to join us for rhymes, songs and sensory play in this special drop-in session. Come along and discover stories about Queen Anne's incredible parties.
