Sketch of HMS Alfred Jany 5th 1848

Line drawing in pen and ink over pencil. Shows the Alfred in profile, from the starboard side. There is a detail above of the figurehead, a figure wearing a crown. There are three masts and two gun decks. The tops of the masts and the rigging is not drawn. Perhaps a study for a painting.
Stored with PAH4442-PAH4494, PAH4496-PAH4521.

Inscribed on the bottom , 'H.M. Ship Alfred Jany 5th 1848'.
On the left of the drawing, 'Prop?' is written in pencil.
