'Loch Torridon, Septr 1883' [Scotland]

No. 43 in Fanshawe's Baltic and later album, 1843 - 83. Captioned by the artist on the album page below the image, as title. Loch Torridon is a sea loch, with a lower and upper reach, on the west coast of Scotland in the north-west Highlands. Torridon village lies at the head of the upper loch and is surrounded by the spectacular Torridon Hills. That on the left may be Ben Liathach. This is one of a group of four drawings recording an autumn visit by Fanshawe to Scotland in his retirement (PAI4713 - 4716).
