On 22 November Cutty Sark is 150 years old! Join us for three days of celebrations to honour the world-famous clipper ship’s landmark birthday.
Visit for free
For the whole 150th birthday weekend, anyone living or studying in Greenwich will be able to get FREE entry to Cutty Sark, as well as anyone living in Dumbarton where the ship was built in 1869. Simply bring a student card or proof of address on the day.*
Win a membership
The 150th visitor to the ship each day over the birthday weekend will win a year's Royal Museums Greenwich Membership, so be sure to get to the ship early to see if you can be one of the winners. Even if you’re not one of the lucky winners, join as a Member in person at Cutty Sark over the birthday weekend and you will receive a £10 discount on the usual one-off Membership price when you sign up by Direct Debit, making a year's single membership only £39.**
Birthday treats and events
Throughout the birthday weekend families can join in with fun face painting, storytelling and craft events. After dark, celebrate the anniversary at a spectacular classical concert, and don’t forget to treat yourself to a bespoke 150th birthday cupcake in the Cutty Sark Café, available all weekend.
We look forward to celebrating with you at the ship!
