Event programme
Hands-on Horology: craft workshop
Included in ticket price | Drop-in | 2, 3, 4, 6 and 10 April | 11am to 4pm
Get creative at a time-themed craft workshop, where you can create an origami time ball, a paper 'H4' timekeeper, a compass, or other instruments that you can see in the Royal Observatory collection.
These objects are essential to the history of the Royal Observatory and navigation, so come and craft a piece of history!
This activity is recommended for ages 4+, and features varying levels of difficulty.
Live demonstrations
Daily from 12-4pm | Included in ticket price
Learn how a camera obscura works, get hands-on with a navigational sextant or unlock the secrets of an astrolabe by dropping in to our live demonstrations.
Treasures Tour
Daily at 11am and 3pm | £5 Adult, £3.50 Student, £2.50 Child, Members go free
Explore some of the Royal Observatory's most treasured objects, learn about the astronomers who lived and worked here, and explore how they helped us understand space, time and navigation.
This guided experience will allow you to explore the history of the site from its very first observations, all the way up to the present day.
