Ship laid down as the cargo vessel "Steel Artisan", converted while building to Royal Navy escort carrier "Attacker" (served as assault carrier in the Mediterranean and Aegean), returned USA 1946, converted to passenger ship "Castel Forte", later "Fairsky", scrapped 1980.
