Oyster cards can be used at all local stations and on buses. All our museums are within easy walking distance of each other, and only a short walk from the stations, within historic Greenwich and Royal Greenwich Park.

The Royal Observatory is at the top of the hill in Royal Greenwich Park, there is a wheelchair-accessible route, but please note it is uphill and fairly steep. Once at the top you will be rewarded with stunning views of the city of London skyline and River Thames.

You can reach us from central London via direct routes by Cannon Street and London Bridge rail or Bank DLR
Cutty Sark DLR station has step-free access. Greenwich and Maze Hill rail station platforms have step free access via ramp, lifts or underpass. The ticket offices and car parks at these stations are also step free.
The Thames Clipper service provides boarding ramps for wheelchair users. Guide and assistance dogs are also welcome on board without charge.
Greenwich Pier has installed Europe's first Ramp Rider greatly improving access for wheelchair users getting on and off boats at Greenwich at low tide. The pier is situated next to the Cutty Sark and it is just five minutes’ walk to the National Maritime Museum from the river.
The following buses stop near the Royal Observatory Greenwich and Peter Harrison Planetarium: Routes 53, 54, 202 and 380.

Museum parking for visitors with disabilities
Limited pre-booked spaces are available for disabled visitors in the Museum car park. Please pre-book, otherwise we cannot guarantee a place.
Parking in Greenwich is limited, particularly at weekends. There are off-street pay-and-display car parks in Greenwich Park (run by the Royal Parks; 250 spaces, maximum 4 hours).
The Royal Borough of Greenwich operates car parks nearby in Park Row and Burney Street. Usual exemptions apply for Blue Badge holders.
There is free coach parking adjacent to the A2 in Blackheath at Charlton Way Coach Park which is close to the Royal Observatory via a short walk through the Blackheath gate of Greenwich Park.
There are also public toilets just inside this gate.

Greenwich is on the National Cycle Network and can be reached by traffic-free routes through parks alongside the rivers Thames, Lea and Ravensbourne.
