Discover the untold stories of war’s forgotten women through voice, verse, and stitch.

A celebration of the War Widows’ Stories project, this event allows you to hear about the lives of war widows in their own words and to be the first to see the display of the beautiful and moving War Widows’ Quilt, made by war widows and their families, in collaboration with arts organisation arthur+martha and the War Widows’ Association of Great Britain. The Quilt will remain on display in the Queen's House for the duration of Remembrance Weekend.

  • 5pm View the quilt and browse the oral histories collected, over drinks and nibbles
  • 6pm Listen to short addresses from the War Widows' Stories lead, Nadine Müller, and the arthur+martha organisation, who led on the War Widows' Quilt project
  • 7pm Mingle with food and drink

Advance booking essential, through Eventbrite.
