Queer Migrations is a community arts festival foregrounding the complex intersections of queerness and migration - how bodies, identities, and stories move across borders, seas, and generations.
By highlighting the resilience and creativity of queer migrants - past and present - Queer Migrations invites audiences and attendees to consider how histories of movement shape queer life today.
Through performances, workshops, and community-led events, Queer Migrations asks us to reflect on what it means to move - and to be moved - as queer people in a world shaped by borders.

Zine-making workshop with Sold Out and Plan B
Saturday 2 August, 2-5pm | National Maritime Museum Learning Space
Create your own zine with Sold Out and Plan B, exploring themes of migration, queerness, and othering through simple design and binding techniques.
About the workshop
Join Sold Out and Plan B for a short intro into our publishing and design practices, followed by a hands-on zine-making workshop. We'll begin with a 15–20 minute talk, then guide you through creating your own zine in response to the festival’s themes: migration, queerness, othering, and navigating the vast ocean within the National Maritime Museum.
Using a simple layout, you'll reflect through writing or drawing, and learn an easy binding method using a stapler or elastic. The session encourages personal expression and collective reflection, and you'll leave with your own zine to take home, as well as an insight into hacking the publishing space. No prior experience needed, just curiosity. We're Sold Out (publishing), and you can be too!
About Sold Out and Plan B
Sold Out is a publishing platform addressing what’s excluded from visual culture and questioning who controls knowledge production and distribution. We aim not just to diversify existing systems, but to challenge the structural inequalities. Through essays, toolkits, manifestos, and speculative works, we platform overlooked voices and perspectives. Our model values plurality, collaboration and inclusivity, inviting contributors beyond academia or mainstream recognition. We’re committed to reshaping publishing and reference culture in design by co-creating with authors and questioning existing standards. “We’re sold out but you can be too” is both a call and a challenge to act.
This event is supported by Royal Museums Greenwich.
