Soya Atlantic; Cargo vessel; Bulk cargo carrier

Scale: unknown. A model of the Soya Atlantic made entirely of wood with metal fittings and partly painted in realistic colours with painted and drawn fittings and details. The hull is painted a pale grey with a red stripe at the waterline, with white painted superstructures and unpainted decks. There are five cargo hatches on the forward cargo deck and a further six hatches on the main cargo deck, all painted pale grey. The bridge superstructure is positioned forward of amidships and has a radio mast on top of the pilot house. The main superstructure is positioned aft and details include two promenade decks, six lifeboats (two missing) and a single funnel painted yellow with a broad red horizontal stripe. Vessel details are inscribed on the underside of the model.
