Heron; Cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A miniature waterline model of the cargo vessel Heron made entirely in wood, with metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. The model depicts a typical cargo vessel of a three-island configuration. The hull is painted red at the waterline, black above, with a white stripe running its entire length, and white-painted superstructure. The forward cargo deck has a single derrick mast and derricks, all painted ochre, serving hatches fore and aft. The main superstructure is amidships accommodating the bridge, two lifeboats and a single funnel painted black. The aft cargo deck has the same layout as the forward deck. The stern deck fittings include an ensign mast.
