Arawai; Cargo vessel

Scale: Unknown. A miniature waterline model of an unidentified post-Second World War cargo vessel with the attribution Arawai made entirely in wood with metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. A number of fittings and features have been drawn onto the model rather than depicted in three dimensions. The hull has a prominent forecastle and the superstructure is placed aft with the raised aft deck extending to the cruiser stern. The hull is painted black overall with bare bulwarks and decks. Fittings include two massive derricks, one located on the forecastle, the other at the rear of the main deck, their derrick booms stowed toward one another; and the aft deck comprising the main superstructure and single funnel with black-painted top.
