The Queen’s House is a truly unique, iconic and stylish wedding venue. Conceived as a ‘House of Delight’ for James I’s Queen, this exquisite former royal residence is set in the green and leafy surroundings of Greenwich Park, London, with spectacular views across the gardens of historic Greenwich to the River Thames and the contrasting skyscrapers of Canary Wharf beyond.

Recent updates to government guidelines state that as of the 28th September 2020 wedding ceremonies in the reception are now permitted for up to no more than 15 people including a seated meal.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall with its iconic Tulip Stairs and original black-and-white geometric marble floor provides a spectacular setting for wedding ceremonies, dinners and breakfasts for up to 120 guests.

The high ceiling of this perfect 40-footcube-shaped Hall features a magnificent contemporary work in gold leaf by Turner Prize-winning artist Richard Wright that will dazzle your guests. The tall windows at the front of the Hall reveal striking views towards the Thames across the north lawns, where the former royal residents would once have looked out across the gardens to the vanished Palace of Greenwich.

The Orangery and Parlours

Bathed in southern light with breath-taking views up to the Royal Observatory, the Orangery and South Parlours offer one of the most stylish locations in London for small wedding ceremonies and boutique weddings breakfasts.

Open the south door and take full advantage of our lawns with vistas across one of London’s oldest royal parks; the perfect location for toasting your marriage. Celebrate amongst the great masters of fine art, including van de Veldes and Everett. The colonnades also provide great opportunities for wedding photography.

The vaulted Undercroft beneath the Great Hall offers an atmospheric party space for dancing and after-dinner entertainment, where further evening guests can be invited.
