 The Cutty Sark is an amazing venue for a celebration and met all out expectations in terms of setting, atmosphere, and comfort. The team at the Royal Museums Greenwich could not have been more helpful and flexible, making the organisation of a large event an enjoyable experience. Filming - Queen's House - July 2023

Our experience with the Queen’s House was exceptional and I do not think any more could have been done to enhance the service. We were particularly impressed with just how flexible and accommodating the Queen’s House was given the historical significance of the building, our unique requirements, and the various weather scenarios we had. 

Guilia was outstanding and a huge asset throughout the whole pre, during and post event period. She was always very responsive, making us feel like we were the only wedding she was working on and gave us great advice throughout, even on items that were not directly related to the Queen’s House. 

I was also very impressed with the service when Guilia was on holiday. Due to the weather, I was changing big parts of the day setup the week before the event, but Sam and the rest of the team were able to pick this up no problem and it was then seamlessly handed back over to Guilia when she returned.

Overall, we cannot thank Guilia & The Queen’s House enough for making our wedding the best day ever.

I cannot think of a single thing that could improve on QH and its staff, especially Nick, who was incredible from start to finish and went the extra mile and then some. Just amazing. The venue blew everyone away – rightly so – and the food was outstanding. Totally magical!!

We would like to give a special thank you to Nick...who was superb throughout our wedding planning process and on the day of the wedding. He is a great credit to the Royal Museums Events team. Nick went above and beyond on numerous occasions, providing detailed walkthroughs with us and our suppliers and extensive floorplans of the day, including providing plans for accessibility routes when requested. He was very quick at responding to queries and was in constant communication with all our suppliers which made the run up to the wedding day very easy for us as hosts.

Nick was friendly, approachable and very organised. He made a big difference before and during the event and was very attentive on the wedding day itself, especially catering for the elderly relatives who were attending. Nick ensured our wedding day ran smoothly and was kind enough to bring us glasses of prosecco during our drinks reception while we were taking photos, otherwise we wouldn’t have managed to have a drink! We feel very lucky to have had Nick guide us through the wedding planning process for the Queen’s House and to be with us on our special day.

Lecture - National Maritime Museum - July 2023

The Cutty Sark is a unique and absolutely has the wow factor.  It is a privilege for any guest to have the opportunity to experience the venue in a private setting. Its history and evolution over the past hundred years is fascinating and it really is like being part of British history.

In addition, its setting with the London skyline directly in front simply tops the experience when sipping drinks on the upper deck and then to be seated for dinner under the glistening bronze base of the boat leaves you with unforgettable memories.

Greenwich itself is a beautiful location with so much to see and enjoy.  An all round perfect location and space for an event that requires that little extra pzazz.

BDIA Gala Dinner - Cutty Sark - June 2023

Our experience throughout was excellent – Giulia was really helpful especially in managing the timings for Queens House and Cutty Sark and for meeting us to talk through how it would all work, including suggesting layout for QH and Cutty Sark.  Palette were great – both the catering and overall management and they worked very well with Giulia / RMG.  The production company (Ash Event Productions) were also very good especially choice of DJ and the photographer recommended by Giulia (Natasha Hurley) was very professional and also good fun.  We were impressed how seamlessly all the suppliers worked together.
The iconic venues were brilliant – they are relatively expensive compared to other wedding venues (hence value for money shown as good above) but really do give a wow factor and look stunning - all of our guests commented on this and we will never forget the ceremony in the beautiful Queens House, the sun starting to set as we had the champagne reception on the upper deck of the Cutty Sark or the incredible party in the dry dock.  An unbelievable combination of venues and experiences.
We would just like to thank everyone at RMG / Palette / Ash and Natasha for helping to create the most memorable day of our lives.

We visited many venues in London but we are so happy to have decided on the Queen’s House for our wedding venue. It is rich in history, set amongst the foot of the Royal Park, with a beautiful landscape in the backdrop. The architecture and environment is classic and picturesque. It was a great pleasure working with the Queen’s House staff in planning our event and they were very accommodating of our ideas, schedule, and requirements. We had the best experience and we’d highly recommend it as a venue for a special occasion.

Proposal - Peter Harrison Planetarium - December 2022

I just wanted to pass on some feedback; Marianna was excellent throughout the whole process from when I first reached out at the end of August.

She was professional, kind and accommodating for everything needed to organise the event. We had multiple site visits, one with just me and she was helpful enough to set up another visit so I could bring a photographer to see the site which was really appreciated. 

She was in regular contact with me to check in that everything was well in the week leading up to the proposal and it felt like more of a personal touch rather than an obligation. She was kind enough to also give me her number on the day to keep in contact in case of timing issues.

On the day itself Marianna was welcoming, and in the short time during the show was able to set up an absolutely gorgeous display with petals and candles in the room outside which we loved.

I am beyond pleased with the services she provided and wanted to make sure her work doesn't go unnoticed so please pass on my compliments.

Working with Sophie and then Sam at RMG was seamless. I especially appreciated Sam’s regular check-ins in the last few weeks to our wedding day – it made it feel like no question was too small or silly to ask. Every one of my emails was answered promptly and the team made it clear they had everything in hand from start to finish. They had everything under control on our wedding day and really contributed to the whole thing being special.

We were lucky enough to get married at the Queen’s House at the start of July this year. Due to COVID we had to postpone our first wedding date, but the team at RMG were very helpful in helping us find a new date. It is just the most spectacular venue and somewhere that was perfect for our day as we live locally and also got engaged in the park! We could not recommend more. Thank you for everything.

 We can’t recommend RMG and their venues highly enough. They were flexible and kind through two Covid postponements, and eventually helped us to pull off the best day of our lives! The Queen’s House and Cutty Sark provided two truly stunning backdrops for our big day, the staff were all fantastic, and the quality of the service generally spectacular. A huge thank you to the team for all their help, support and down-to-earth humour – it was a pleasure working with you!

I found the house staff were extremely helpful who lent their experiences and expertise to problem solve and provide guidance during our visit. Resulting in an effortless days filming and some great footage.

The conservators were equally helpful, ensuring that we could work freely whilst maintaining respect and mindfulness of these beautiful and historic surroundings.

Even the security’s communication with our own security help proceeding run to plan and without fault.

Sophie, Nick and Guilia obviously have a clear understanding and plenty of experience of filming and our ever changing requirements which was met with openness and resourcefulness that made our job a joy.

It was an absolute pleasure and I am very much looking forward to our next visit, if not on this production then the next.

We hosted our Fundraising Gala Dinner and Auction on 12th May this year; after two previous abortive attempts owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sam has been incredibly helpful arranging/re-arranging our event.  The whole team on the evening were amazingly helpful, and nothing was too much trouble.  Our guests were suitably impressed and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at an iconic venue.

Sophie did our site visit and her energy, ideas and genuine love for the venue made us fall in love with it. Her support until handing over to Sam was brilliant and was the perfect balance of keeping us on top of things but keeping everything relaxed!

In the run up to the wedding, Sam was all over everything and filled us with confidence the day would be a success. During the wedding day, she was the perfect Events Planner. All stress was taken completely off our hands so we could enjoy everything to the max. The venue looked outstanding (our guests were stunned by it! All the little details: champagne awaiting us after our ceremony, the setup of the table plans/names, the music and seeing us safely into a cab at the end of the night all added a personal touch that we loved. We couldn’t fault a thing.

Needle & Thread chose The Queen’s House and colonnades for a street style shoot for the grandeur and beautiful location which delivered on the day. Sophie was a huge support in the lead up to the shoot, ensuring everything was in place for the day of the shoot. Overall, the support received from the team helped to make the day run seamlessly. EC3 Marine hired the Plymouth Room for a company meeting and from the initial contact with Charlotte, the pre-meeting site visit/review of the venue facilities, right down to Giulia looking after us so brilliantly throughout the day, I would have no hesitation in recommending the venue and the superb RMG Team who are utterly professional and attentive to our needs throughout. It is a very special venue, setting and of course Museum, one not to be missed!

This form doesn’t do justice to the high quality service provided by the Queens House and its staff. Nick Babbs was incredible in managing and helping us with our big day (through numerous changes due to covid) and he is loyal to the preservation and respectful to the beautiful building that is the Queens house, whilst also trying to be flexible in helping us create a day that works for us. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this historic building to others.

We were very happy with the flexibility and desire to please from anyone we dealt with at the QH. The service and support in the lead up to our wedding and the big day itself was to a high standard. We felt we could rely on the people, which proved to be just the case on the day. Both myself and my wife commended that there was nothing we would have changed and the day was ‘perfect’.
