Pickle; Service vessel; Schooner, Topsail
Scale: Unknown. A model of a British schooner made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 1.40pm on 21st October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar. The model depicts an undamaged vessel. The vessel is a topsail schooner, square-rigged on the foremast and with jib sails. The hull is painted black with a white stripe below the gunports. A white ensign is flying from the peak of the driver and a Union flag is hoisted between the two masts. Paper label missing but refers to model 63 on the accompanying key.
