Warship; 74 guns ?
Scale: Unknown. A model of a 74 gun warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 1.40pm on 21st October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and the ship is shown with damage sustained in the battle. The ship is three masted, ship rigged and with set sails, showing shot damage. Dark grey and red smoke is shown billowing from the deck. There is the remains of a unidentified flag flying from the peak of the gaff. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the two gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings.
