San Justo; Warship; 74 guns

Scale: Unknown. A model of the San Justo, a Spanish warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 1.40pm on 21st October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar. The ship is three masted, ship rigged and with set sails. The hull is painted black with fine white stripes between the gun decks. The decks are painted white with black deck fittings. The Spanish flag is flying from the peak of the gaff and a pennant flying from the top of the mainmast. On paper label "24".
