Prince; Warship; 98 guns; Second rate

Scale: Unknown. A model of the British warship Prince made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 1.40pm on 21st October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar. The model is undamaged. The ship is three masted, ship rigged on all three masts with set sails. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings. There is a white ensign flying from the peak of the gaff and a Union flag flying between the fore and mainmasts. On a paper label: "9".
