Warship; 80 guns
Scale: Unknown. A model of the French warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 1.40pm on 21st October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and shows damage to the ship. The ship is three masted, and ship rigged. The foremast has lost its sails and yards. The main and mizzen masts are broken. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings. The model is flying the remains of a French tricolour from the peak of the gaff.
