The return of the sun after 122 days of darkness, from the 'South Polar Times'

A photographic reproduction of an illustration, possibly by Dr E A Wilson, of the returning sun over Ross Island printed in the 'South Polar Times.' The starboard bow of the Discovery (1901) is silhouetted on the right of the drawing. The returning sun was viewed from Hut Point on 22 August 1902.
