This pen-and-ink sketch depicts a starboard broadside view of a small 2-masted vessel fitted with 3 yards on both masts, a dropped gaff on the mainmast and equipped with six sweeps per side. A square-rigged ship is visible firing a gun in the distance on the left, alongside a rocky coastline. Inscribed beneath the image 'Sharen / 5th Decr. 1839 / Port Royal.'
